Ladies Club Starts Again

After 18 months of no activity Ladies Club has once again been meeting in the hall with adherence to safety by having the door open, extractor system on and with social distancing. Our charity for this year is the PSP association. Funds were sent after the village picnic in September and more will go after the Christmas collections and the summer fete.

In September 12 of us met for a chat, coffee and a short quiz. It was so good to be able to get out again.

10 of us visited Trowbridge Museum in October to be shown around its revamped premises - its almost unrecognizable as the same place!

Last week there were 11 at our craft evening. Bottles and jars were covered with silk fibre using PVA glue. They then had to be left to dry (very sticky) in the hall before we could take them home and insert lights into them.

In December we are going out again for our Christmas meal and in January we hope to be able to be entertained by John Craig, a retired Fire Chief, with a talk called 'Going to Blazes'. Fingers crossed that COVID will not put a stop to this.
